On stock 243 heads 26 degrees of timing is a good safe absolute max to stop, and 28 degrees on LS1 heads. However my experience with those values is with 93 octane and an AFR of 12.5.The heads are stock for the LQ9 6.0L H.O. 345 HP version (Cadillac Escalade/GMC Denalli).
